UConn Expands Graduate Offerings with New Artificial Intelligence Program

The university has reported the recent initiation of a Master of Science degree focused on Artificial Intelligence, an advanced course aimed at equipping students with skills necessary for careers in intelligent systems and machine learning technologies. This pioneering program is among the first of its type offered in Connecticut.

The application process has begun for this program’s first group of participants, providing students with the chance to delve into the principles of artificial intelligence as well as practical uses. According to the university, the course boasts limited class enrollments, advanced laboratory resources, and instructors who are seasoned experts from the tech sector.

The program wraps up after earning between 30 to 32 credit hours and provides students with basic education along with focused instruction. Key subjects encompass knowledge representation and reasoning, neural networks, semantic web technologies, and machine learning techniques. Learners have the flexibility to customize their curriculum through optional courses such as deep learning, natural language processing, data mining, generative artificial intelligence, and intelligent robotics.

CCSU mentioned that the program is created to be adaptable and accommodating for new college graduates as well as working professionals. Courses will be available during both the fall and spring semesters.
