Ex-UFC Champ McGregor Pitches Irish Bitcoin Reserve in Presidential Bid

UFC star-turned-Irish political hopeful Conor McGregor has backed the notion of establishing a Bitcoin reserve in his nation to restore greater “control to the populace.”

“Crypto in it’s origin was founded to give power back to the people. An Irish Bitcoin strategic reserve will give power to the people’s money,” McGregor
wrote
to X on May 9.

The ex-UFC champion mentioned that he will provide further information about his plans in an imminent X platforms, which led to reactions from several key figures within the Bitcoin sector.
